3:00 PM 4/5/06
There is a chance of thunderstorms (some strong) late tonight as warm and more humid air move into the region. Thursday's activity will be more serious. The SPC has included most of Missouri, except for far eastern in a Moderate Risk for Severe Weather from late Thursday afternoon into Friday morning. There will also be a risk of strong to severe storms Friday afternoon. Latest model data and forecasts are indicating a very favorable situation for a round of Tornadic Thunderstorms that will initially develop over Eastern KS and Western MO by tomorrow afternoon and race eastward into Eastern MO and Western IL by Thursday evening. This is a very similiar situation to the April 2 outbreak and large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes appear likely. More details to come as warranted.
