Saturday morning update on Winter Storm
Winter Storm on track to
affect the area beginning early Sunday morning and most of the day on
Sunday. The latest weather data continues to indicate rain Saturday
night changing to all snow between 6-9 AM Sunday morning across the St.
Louis region. Snow could become heavy Sunday afternoon with the
possibility of thundersnow. General accumulations of 2-4" south of St.
Louis and 4-8" from St. Louis county and north. Locally higher amounts
possible where convective snowfall develops where 8-10" is not out of
the question with 2"/hour snowfall rates. A Winter Storm Warning will
likely be issued this afternoon over a large portion of the St. Louis
metro area.
